Should a vegan avoid a beeswax wood finish?
My family and I have been vegan for 7 years. I want to purchase a wooden play kitchen for one of my children, but found out the beautiful cherry wood set that I like has beeswax in the finish. I found a similar play kitchen that is unfinished pine, but not nearly as nice as the cherry wood. I otherwise don't use beeswax or any other animal products that can be avoided.

yep
What is wrong with you? They are BEES. Insects. They don’t care!
Depends what you think is more important; your beliefs, or your kitchen?
:- l
I get not harming animals but when they get beeswax it doesn’t harm them at all, i think you may be going a little overboard.
Why avoid beeswax no animal was harmed. And if you are THAT vegan crazy then you cannot eat a lot of everyday foods. Chocolate, flour, fig and fruit pastes(Fig Newtons) this is just a small list of foods that contain a lot of things like bugs, rodent hair, rodent droppings, etc. So if you eat bread made from packaged flour you ATE A MOUSE. how does that make you feel.
Yes
Definition of a Vegan:
“Veganism is a way of living which excludes all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, the animal kingdom, and includes a reverence for life. It applies to the practice of living on the products of the plant kingdom to the exclusion of flesh, fish, fowl, eggs, honey, animal milk and its derivatives, and encourages the use of alternatives for all commodities derived wholly or in part from animals”
Sorry
If you go that far you should also avoid roses, which are made with bone meal as one of the main fertilizers. Some vegans even avoid food grown with manure as a fertlizer.
no just invite Yule Gibbons he will eat your furniture.
